Deadline for submissions: February 15th, 2019

Laws of nature are central to the sciences, especially to fundamental physics. In recent years they had also attracted attention of philosophers of science, who engaged in several debates on the metaphysical nature of laws, their epistemological significance and the proper semantic and modal notions to account for the nomological. This special issue aims to explore new perspectives in the philosophical studies on laws of nature, with a particular focus on the relationship between the metaphysics and epistemology of laws. Still, we welcome submissions dealing with topics broadly related to the debate on laws, which include issues in the fields of Philosophy of Mind, Philosophical Logic, Philosophy of Language and Metaethics.

The special issue will include four invited articles by established researchers in the field (two from Latin American countries and two from non-Latin American countries) and contributed manuscripts selected via a double-blind reviewing process.
Confirmed invited authors:

- Barry Loewer (Rutgers University)
- Heather Demarest (University of Colorado Boulder)
- Luiz Henrique de Araujo Dutra (Federal University of Santa Catarina).
- Nelida Gentile (University of Buenos Aires)
